Whether you’re looking to indulge in a hearty breakfast, enjoy a leisurely lunch, or simply sip on a freshly brewed coffee, Pavillion Café has something for everyone. The menu features a tempting selection of light meals, including savory filled croissants that melt in your mouth, and a variety of sandwiches and hot pies that promise to satisfy any craving. One patron, Julie Barker, raves about the café's offerings, highlighting a 'yum' moment with an extra strong flat white partnered perfectly with her croissant for an astonishingly good value of just £6.40.

For those who prefer a sweet touch, the café’s taste scones served with clotted cream and jam are a must-try. Ark Pl mentions that these delightful treats, along with hearty breakfast options, make it the perfect spot for a relaxing morning or afternoon pick-me-up. The friendly staff enhances the experience further, ensuring that every visit is met with a warm smile, even on busy days.

One of the standout features of Pavillion Café is its outdoor semi-sheltered terrace, ideal for enjoying your meal while soaking in the picturesque surroundings. Imagine sipping your coffee as the gentle lake breeze dances around you – it’s an oasis of calm that revitalizes the spirit. Gary Meade perfectly captures this vibrant atmosphere, making the café worthy of a visit not just for the food, but for the experience it offers.

As Andrew Higham notes, it’s 'a great spot on campus’ that’s not only known for its delicious bacon and egg sandwiches but is also a delightful place to relax and enjoy a leisurely walk around the lake. For anyone looking to make the most of their visit, keep an eye on their website for upcoming events!

Beautiful situation, light and airy indoors with semi sheltered terrace overlooking the lake. Nice selection of light meals. I asked for an extra strong flat white because otherwise its on the weak side. This , with a savory filled croissant (yum) was only £6.40 There is free wifi available and toilets in the same building.

With large windows overlooking the park boat, clean interior and few outside tables, perfect spot for breakfast, lunch or just coffee with taste scones/clotted cream/jam trio... There is a choice of sandwiches and hot pies as well, served with a smile, even when they are short of staff (which they apologized on memo on glass). Definitely will be even better with more space inside, but still a nice stop to rest when University Park walking/riding/boating/golfing/playing

Staff are always nice and friendly. Coffee is good tho expensive, but you have such a lovely vibrant atmosphere to enjoy. Also excellent food choices. All in all well worth a visit.

A great spot on campus, one of the only places to get a proper bacon and egg sandwich nearby. Am a regular as you can tell from my obsession with photos of the lake. A nice lap round takes about 20 mins, 35 mins with time for photos Events and performances are often held here too, worth checking out the website!
